Junior Culinary Team Canada recently traveled to compete in the 35^th WACS Congress held in Daejeon, Korea April 30th – May 5th, 2012.  The Junior Culinary Team Competed in the "Restaurant of Provinces" category while team coach Tobias MacDonald competed in the Global Chefs Challenge.  Both did well in competition receiving gold in each category.  The Junior Team placed 2nd overall and Tobias placed 3rd overall. 

Below are a few comments from the team and support members on the experience.

 A gold medal performance from a great team of exceptional young chefs, an opportunity to renew old culinary friendships and establish new ones.  The exhilaration of the Korean experience and the chance to work with an extraordinary group of colleagues ……..How could there possibly be a better way to spend 10 days! - Jim Hutton, Support Member

 Korea was a phenomenal experience that I am grateful I was a part of. Competing and traveling with my teammates in a foreign country was a good learning experience.  What an eye opening experience to see how much we accomplished in just 10 days. I now have a new found respect for what it takes to compete in such events.
